Role within SUPERLASER
imec leads WorkPackage (WP) 6, which aims to demonstrate electrically-pumped superradiant perovskite lasers operating at room temperature. The main tasks involve developing ultra-fast perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) with sub-nanosecond rise times, fabricating high-quality optical resonators using imec’s advanced cleanroom facilities, and conducting comprehensive performance benchmarking. This includes optical and electrical excitation experiments to optimize device characteristics and move closer to realizing an electrically-pumped superradiant perovskite laser. These efforts combine advanced material development, precision fabrication, and rigorous testing to achieve the project's ambitious goals.
