What is superradiance?
Superradiance is a special way of emitting very pure and very strong light, that happens when many photons behave as one. However, it is a phenomenon that has yet to be recorded at room temperature. In this video, Ahyoung Lee explains what superradiance describes. Normally, atoms emit light independently. In superradiance, however, they become synchronised. When they emit light together, the result is a much stronger, more intense, and more coherent burst of light.
